I am Kirti, a 23-year-old woman from Delhi, working as a Counselling Therapist currently. I had my brief encounter with spatial design as a solution to social problems in my course with Dr. Shilpa Phadke during my masters at TISS. What followed was the appalling realization that undertones of gendered design are everywhere; and worse, they are our blind spot. This is precisely why I author this article – to take notice of this blind spot that guides the everyday life of many women, including me.
